The flight and the shuttle ride were uneventful and I arrived in Astoria at around 2:30 pm. It was raining, cool, and a little windy. I went to early check in at 3pm and meet the staff and some of the other rides. Checked in and got my bike assembled a went through a safety check. Everyone is very excited about starting the ride!! I meet my roommate for the next 7 weeks and along with 2 other riders we went out to dinner.
