Today was HARD  - 117 miles in the rain with 15 to 20 mph head winds!!  It was a great day for a bike ride!!  We were on the the road by 6 am and the day started with overcast skies with the threat of rain and the temperature was in the low 60's.  It started to drizzle just after we started which turned into rain which turned in to a down pour.  Luckily the down pour only lasted for a short time, but it rained on us all day, sometimes light sometimes heavy.  The temperature was cool never got above 64 all day.  We road through low cloud coverage, almost like a fog, all day that kept the visibilty down to only a few miles, sometimes less, so we couldn't see vary much.  The landscape that we road through was green grass lands with rolling hills and the roads were straight and went on forever.  I road with Gray all day and we took turns cutting through the wind by being in front.  Gary didn't bring a rain jacket and got soaked, but he was warm as long as he kept moving.
