Day 35 - Another Great Day!!

Fond du Lac, WI to Manitowoc, WI

Distance: 57 miles
Time:
Elevation Gain:

Good Internet connection tonight.  I update days 33 and 34 with photos.

Today we had a late start do to the short mileage.  We had great ridding weather again, low 70's to start with partly cloudy skies and it only got up to the mid 80's by early afternoon.  Today's ride was like the past couple of days.  We traveled on back country roads with little traffic over rolling hills with a lot of twists and turns.  We had to ride over a lot more short rollers today then the past couple of days.  The landscape was more farm land with many farm houses, corn fields, wheat fields, woodland and small towns.  The closer we get to the east cost the more populated the country side is becoming.

Tomorrow is somewhat a rest day.  We only have about 7 miles of ridding, but we also have a 4 hr Ferry ride across Lake Michigan on the SS. Badger.

I might not be able to post tomorrow, so here are my stats so date:

Total Distance: 2,676 (992 miles to go)
Total Time in the Saddle: 198 hrs
Total Elevation Gain: 91,669 ft
35 Day of Ridding, 15 days to go
We have ridden across  6 states, 4 states to go

Total number of pictures with bike mounted cameras: 27, 500

  1. I hear Wisconsin is a great place for riding. I just got a Montague folding bike and have been looking for somewhere nice to give it it's first proper tour. Maybe Wisconsin...and since it's so easy to travel with, I won't even have to ride through 10 states to get there.
