Day 36 - Ferry Ride

Manitowoc, WI to Ludington, MI

Distance: 10 miles by bike, across Lake Michigan by Ferry (SS Badger)
Time: All Day
Elevation Gain: 0 ft

Today was kind of an off day, a few miles of bike ridding and a boat ride on the SS Badger across lake Michigan to Ludington, MI.  We had a late start and the only requirement was to arrive at the Ferry Depot by 12:45 pm.  It was only 3.5 miles from our hotel so everyone took their time, I road around Manitawoc for a while and got to the Ferry Depot early to watch the SS Badger arrive.  The Boat ride was about 4 hrs and when we got to the other side of lake Michigan when road into another state, Michigan.  We also crossed over the Eastern time zone and lost another hour.

Tomorrow we have a long day, 113 miles to Mt. Pleasant, MI.
