Another Great Day! We started with overcast skies with temps in the low 70's with a storm front moving in, but we stayed dry all day. The wind was to our backs most of the time and the temperature only got up into the low 80's. We continued to ride mostly on back roads through lush green farmland and woodland, but we started to get into some small rolling hills. The roads were in great shape and with the tailwind, everyone made good time. This was my first visit to Niagara Falls and they were stunning, but the area is way over commercialized with cheap tourist attractions. I think Niagara has been the most difficult city to cycle though so far on this tour. The streets are narrow, no bike lanes, and heavy traffic. The falls are amazing to watch as tons of water cascade over the edge creating a mist so heavy you can barely see through it and the sound is deafening. We had to cross the Rainbow Bridge to get back to the US. The traffic was bumper to bumper and we had to walk our bikes over to get through customs. We entered New York, our 8th state, when we got to the US side.
Tomorrow is our last rest day. I plan to see more of Falls and rest.
