Today was another great day!! It was partly sunny in the morning with mostly overcast skies during most of the day and the temperatures stayed in the mid to high 70's. We are traveling in heavy populated areas and we have to pay very close attention to the road and traffic. New York drivers have been the worst drivers we have encountered so far and a lot of us have had close encounters of the 4 wheel kind. We traveled mostly on busy highways ridding through a lot of towns of all sizes. We did ride on a few back roads that gave us a break from the traffic. There wasn't a whole lot as far as scenery goes, but we did pass by the worlds smallest chapel that was built in the middle of a small pond covered with green moss (see photos below).
Tomorrow we ride to Latham, NY; 74 miles with a few good hills. This will be are warm up ride for the big elevation days that are coming up.
