Today was a well deserved rest day. I went with a few others from our group and road the Maid of Mist, a boat ride that takes you up close to the Horse Shoe Falls. You can almost reach out and touch it. They give you a blue plastic rain cover to try to keep you from getting completely soaked from the wind and mist at the bottom of the Falls. You can feel the power of the water as thousands of tons of water hit the base of the Falls, it was a assume sight and feeling. After the boat ride we walked up a trail that takes you close to the edge of the Falls. From there we walked to Goat Island and walked around the park for awhile and then back to the hotel. I rested my leg for the rest of the afternoon and took things easy.
We only have 7 more days to go. Tomorrow we have a 81 mile ride to Henrietta, NY
