2 Days to final destination
Its been a long day, so this post will be short.
Today we had overcast to partly sunny skies with a chance of rain. Temps were in the low 70's to high 80's. We traveled through the Green Mountains and crossed into our 9th state, Vermont. We had 2 good climbs, the first was 10 miles long with grades of 4 to 9%. The 2nd was 4 miles long with grades of 4 to 7%. We had many smaller climbs, some fairly steep but very short. We road through very heavy forest and several old cities and towns with old red brick buildings, narrow streets and heavy traffic. A lot of the roads were in bad shape with bad shoulders or no shoulders at all. It was good to get back into the mountains with nice views and overall it was a great day!
Tomorrow we continue our ride through the Green Mountains and cross our final state line to New Hampshire. We have our finale banquet tomorrow night so I might not have time to post.
