Today was a great day for a bike ride!  A relatively easy 80 miles, we were told that today was going to be one of the easiest days on the tour. We dropped down from about 4,000 ft to about 2,200 ft.  We left the snow covered mountains and the pine forests and road into open country with rolling hills.  We past several long freight trains that went on for miles. We road several miles on interstate I-84 E today and had to be careful to dodge all the debris on the shoulder where we road.  At mile 55 we road along the Snake River to our 2nd SAG stop at mile 58. The weather was cool with sunny sky's in the morning and warmed up to the high 80's in the afternoon.  The wind was mild with a light tail wind most of the day.   Tomorrow we leave Oregon and cross the state line into Idaho,  we have a short 64 mile ride to Boise and the next will be a rest day.
