Day 13 - The Heat Is On

Burley, ID to Pocatello, ID

Distance: 92 miles
Time: 6.5 hrs
Elevation Gain: 2,480 ft

This is probably starting to sound like a broken record, but IT WAS ANOTHER FANTASTIC DAY!!!  The weather was warmer than the previous days, it was about 55 degrees when we started and got up to the low 90's by early afternoon.  It was sunny and I don't think there was a cloud in the sky.  The wind was light, but it was a head wind that slowed us down a little. We road through a lot of flat stretches of land that seemed to go on and on and on, you can see the road for miles ahead of you.  Speaking of roads, we road mainly on rough and cracked County roads with very little traffic all day.  We road along the Snake Rive for awhile and through several small towns.   We road on I-84 for about 8 miles and frontage roads the paralleled I-84.  Tomorrow we have one more short day before the big climb over the Great Teton Pass and over the Continential Divided the next day and than we have a 120 mile day.  Tomorrow we ride 65 miles to Idaho Falls.
