Day 12 - Short but Sweet

Twin Falls, ID to Burley, ID

Distance: 44 miles
Time: 3.5 hrs
Elevation Gain: 1,588 ft

Yes it was another great day with great weather!!  We had sunny sky's with temperatures in the high 60's to start and in the mid 80's by early afternoon.  It was a short ride, only 38 miles and options for side trips to the falls.  At lot of the riders went back to the RIM to watch base jumpers jump.

I took a side trip down to Shoshone Falls, a steep descent to the bottom and a steep climb back out.  The view's of Shoshone Falls  were breathtaking, the water was ragging over the falls and the air was filled with mist.

Most of the day were were ridding on frontage roads that followed along side of I-84, the roads were in decent shape and we had a mild tail wind all day.  Were road through flat farm land and desert with views of snow covered mountains in the distance.  Tomorrow we have a long day in the saddle, 86 mile to our next destination; Pocatello, ID.
